Hilbert Reinart
Hilbert Reinart, 70, of Carroll, died Monday afternoon,
November 28, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a former employee of the former
Carroll Rendering Works.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 1, at Holy Spirit church with the Rev. Roger
Augustine, V.F., as celebrant. Gift-bearers will be granddaughters Beth
and Brenda Underberg. Burial will be in Holy Family cemetery at Lidderdale.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2
p.m. Wednesday. Rosaries will be recited at 3 and 8:30 p.m. and a
scriptural prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the parish
at the funeral home.
Mr. Reinart is survived by his wife, Cecelia, Carroll; three
sons: Paul and Alvin, Carroll, and Jerome Reinart, Chicago, Ill.; three
daughters: Susie Willman, Wallis, Tex.; Darlene Jensen, Houston, Tex.,
and Mary Underberg, Carroll; 10 grandchildren; three brothers: Leo,
Sioux City; Harold, Glidden, and Melvin Reinart, Orlando Park, Ill., and
two sisters: Elvira Sporrer, Glidden, and Cletta Hoffman, Boone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clarence.
Mr. Reinart was born March 23, 1913, at Roselle, a son of John
and Emma Schenking Reinart. He spent his early years in the Halbur and
Manning areas, and attended schools there. On September 10, 1940, he was
married to Cecelia Reiff at Holy Family Church in Lidderdale by the Rev.
Lawrence Schoeppner.
After their marriage, they farmed in the Glidden, Manning and
Audubon areas. In 1952, they moved to Carroll where he was employed in
1957 by the rendering works. He retired in 1982. He was a member of Holy Spirit parish.
