Mrs. Peter Reinart
Halbur - Mrs. Peter Reinart, 72, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday at
her home here after an illness of about one and one-half years.
Requiem mass will be read by the Rev. Lawrence Greteman at 9 a.m.
Monday at St. Augustine's Church here. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery.
Rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the
Twit Funeral Home in Carroll where the body is remaining until the time
of the church rites. Fr. Greteman will lead the recitation Sunday
evening, with members of the Rosary Sodality of St. Augustine's parish
attending in a group.
Mrs. Reinart was born Mary Agnes Hoffert, daughter of Anton and
Augusta Hoffert, Nov. 8, 1888, at Axtell, Neb., where she received her schooling.
She married Mr. Reinart Jan. 28, 1905, at Axtell, with the Rev.
Fr. Cronnin officiating.
The couple farmed at Axtell for the first 11 years after their
marriage. Coming to Carroll County in 1913, they farmed four miles south
of Carroll for one year and then moved to a farm southeast of Halbur,
where they lived until 1927. At that time, they moved into Halbur.
Mrs. Reinart is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs.
Leo (Bertille) Thielen, Manning; Mrs. W. A. (Mary) Buchholz, Dexter,
Mo., and Mrs. Lawrence (Genevieve) Gehling, Gilmore City; one brother,
John Schneider, Holdredge, Neb.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Mrs. Adolph
(Gladys) Langel, in 1940, and Monica in infancy.
Mrs. Reinart was a member of St. Augustine's Church and the
Rosary Sodality of the parish.
