| Mrs. William H. Riggs
Mrs. Laura Riggs, 83, wife of William H. Riggs, died at her
home, 1038 North street. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Riggs was born Sept. 17, 1855, and spent her youth at
Bristol. Practically all of her life, since leaving that community, had
been spent in Elkhart. She was a member of the Grace United Brethren
church on Middlebury street. Except for her husband, there are no
immediate survivors. Several cousins and nieces live in Elkhart and the
surrounding area.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Charles
Walley funeral home, with the Rev. W. I. Duker of Goshen officiating,
assisted by the Rev. J. Ray Klingensmith. Burial will be at Mishawaka.
