| Bruce Robbins
Funeral services for Bruce Robbins, 96, of Preemption, will be
held at 2 p.m. Friday in Crummy Funeral Home, Viola. Burial will be in
St. John's Cemetery, Viola.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Robbins died Tuesday in Mercer County Hospital, Aledo,
following a brief illness.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Robbins married Mary Etta Bell in 1909 in Preemption. She
died in 1944. He later married Bertha Drescher in 1948 in Stillwater, Pa.
He was a member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau and was a former 4-H leader.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Margaret Douglas of Aledo
with whom he resided for the past three years and Lucille Baker of
Viola; a son, Earl, of Davenport; a stepdaughter, Beatrice McMichael,
Stillwater, Pa.; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren, and a sister
Charlotte Woods, Benton, Pa.
