| Earl Robbins
Earl W. Robbins, 83, Viola, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at
Mercer County Hospital, Aledo.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Family Funeral Services, Viola. Burial
is in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Matherville. The family will receive
friends prior to service.
He was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Preemption, the son of Bruce and
Etta Bell Robbins. He married Loretta Murry Feb. 14, 1944, in Galesburg.
She died in 1978.
He was a laborer at Farmall Works, Rock Island, for 30 years,
retiring in 1975.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Baker, Viola; nieces and
spouse, Patricia and Tom Noy and Ellen Christiansen, Viola, and Margaret
Kay Dunn, Rockford; and a nephew and spouse, Kenneth and Marjorie
Douglas, Rock Island. He was preceded by his parents and sisters,
Dorothy Robbins and Margaret Douglas.
