Reva C. Ryner
Reva Cathleen Ryner, 79, of Galesburg, formerly of Alexis died
at 11:05 P.M. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
She was born January 1, 1930 in Hancock, Co. IL, the daughter of
Earl and Marie (Thomas) Woods. She was raised and educated in Hancock
Co. and Galesburg.
Reva married Charles Glenn Ryner in Galesburg on January 9, 1955
and he survives.
Reva worked at the Jack & Jill Grocery store in Alexis for 17
years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, nature, bird watching and
was a Chicago Cubs fan. She was a devoted wife and a mother who will be
greatly missed.
She was member of the Alexis United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Donna (Jim) Peterson
of Rockford, IL, Joyce Ryner of Galesburg, Janet (James) Nantz of
Harlan, KY; 2 sons, William (Leanne) Ryner of Fresno, CA. and Ed (Amy)
Ryner of Dallas City, IL; 13 grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruby (Boyd) Curtis
of Galesburg; 2 brothers, Delbert Evans of Galesburg and Lester
(Georgia) Woods of Galesburg; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the
Alexis United Presbyterian Church. Cremation has been accorded. Burial
will be in Alexis Cemetery. No visitation hours are planned. Memorials
may be given to the Alexis United Presbyterian Church. Hoover-Hall
Memorial Chapel, Alexis is in charge of the local arrangements
