Schneider Funeral at Early Saturday
Stroke Fatal to Aged Man - Other News from Early.

Early - Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday
afternoon at the Methodist church for Peter Schneider whose death was
mentioned last week following an illness of less than a week from a
paralytic stroke. Mr. Schneider's condition was considered serious from
the time he was first stricken last Friday morning. He gradually failed
until his death Thursday morning at 10 o'clock.
The services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Walker and burial was
made in the Early Union cemetery. The pall-bearers were Geo. Wadsley, C.
H. DeGarmo, C Sampers, Will Jackson, Rush Drury and James Toomer. A
choir composed of Misses Albert Spurling and Dorothy Jacques and C. J.
Allen and Merle Wadsley sang "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer
My God to Thee."
The deceased was born in Rochester, N. Y., Oct. 12, 1872, and at
his death was 63 years, 10 months and 28 days of age. When he was six
years old, he moved with his parents to Clinton county where they lived
until 1883 when they came to Sac county which has been his home since.
In 1893 he was joined in marriage to Miss Mary Thorpe of Early
and to this union two sons were born, Emory of Early and a babe who died
in infancy. He is survived by his wife and son and one grandson, two
sisters, Ann (Schneider) Stock of Spooner, Wis., and Mrs. Mary O'Keefe
of New York.
Mr. Schneider was known by everyone as a good, upright citizen of
our community and will be greatly missed by his many friends. Sympathy
is extended to the bereaved family.

Reinfeldt and son of Collins; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Thorpe and baby of
Carnarvon; Mr. and Mrs. Meryl Thorpe of Lake View; Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Thorpe of Storm Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Thorpe of Carnarvon; Mr. and
Mrs. J. J. Adams, Frank Christiansen, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Sanders of
Nemaha; Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Armagost, G. D. Armagost, of Sac City; Mrs.
Lena Speaker of Long Beach, Calif., and son Grant Speaker of Sioux City;
C. W. Sanders of Sac City and Early relatives.
