Christopher Seaberg
Funeral services for Christopher Seaberg, 18, of Matherville,
were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Crummy Funeral Home, Viola. The Rev.
Ed Harkrader, pastor of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, officiated.
Mr. Seaberg died Thursday night, April 24, in Franciscan Medical Center,
Rock Island, of what is alleged by police to be a drug overdose. He had
been hospitalized since April 20.
Mr. Seaberg was found in the 2300 block of 41st Street, Rock
Island, on April 20, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Authorities reportedly believe the drug overdose was not self-inflicted.
He was born May 11, 1961, in Sterling, a son of Robert and Nancy
Savage Seaberg. He received his education in Matherville and Sherrard schools.
Mr. Seaberg was a member of St. Anthony's Church.
Survivors include his parents, Mrs. Nancy Miller of Matherville
and Robert Seaberg of Moline; a brother, George Seaberg; a half-brother,
Brian Miller, and a sister, Theresa Seaberg, all of Matherville; his
maternal grandparents, Mrs. And Mrs. Howard Burdeck of Matherville and
paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Frazier of Lakeland, Fla.
His paternal grandfather preceded him in death.
