Frances L. Sloan, 80, Aledo, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at
Mercer County Hospital, Aledo.
Services are 10:30 a.m. today at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial
is in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time. Memorials to
Lynncrest Manor Nursing Home or Arthritis Foundation.
She was born May 5, 1919, in New Boston to Guy and Maggie Beard.
She married L. Curtis Sloan. He died in 1984. Surviving are daughters,
Alice Hogren, Orion, Sara Welp, Dodgeville, Wis.; eight grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren; brother, Eldon Beard, Monmouth; and nephew, Roby
Sloan, St. Joseph, Mich., whom she raised.
