Cyril Snyder
Breda - Cyril Snyder, 69, of Breda died of a heart ailment at
11:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, where he
had been a patient for a week. He had been ill two weeks.
Requiem mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St.
Bernard's Church here by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John C. Doherty. Interment
will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral
Home in Breda starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited at
8 and 8:45 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be a scriptural
prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Snyder, a son of Joe and Helen Snyder, was born here June 28,
1903, and spent all of his life in the Breda vicinity. On Jan. 17, 1927,
he was married to Anna Grote at St. Bernard's Church in Breda. They
lived for seven years on a farm two miles northeast of Breda and then on
a farm three miles northwest of Breda until 1970, when they retired and
moved into Breda.
Surviving with his wife are five children, Mrs. Earl (Vera)
Kennebeck of Auburn, Clair and Kenneth of Breda, Mrs. Virgil (Elaine)
Wiese of Council Bluffs and Julius of Boston, Mass.; 20 grandchildren;
three brothers, Walter and Edgar of Breda and Fred of Pueblo, Colo.; and
two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Mayme) Feldmann of Breda and Mrs. John (Editih)
Leonard of Chicago. Two infant brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Snyder was a member of St. Bernard's Church and was a past
president of the Carroll County Farm Bureau.
