Fred Stangl Dies Of Heart Attack At Manning Home
Manning (THNS) - Fred Stangl, farmer, died suddenly of a heart
attack about 10 o'clock this morning at his home one mile east and two
miles south of Manning. Mr. Stangl had gone into the field this morning
to work, but had returned to the house, saying that he was not feeling
well. He passed away shortly afterwards. He had suffered heart attacks previously.
The body is at the Ohde Funeral home, awaiting completion of arrangements.
Mr. Stangl leaves his wife, three sons and four daughters. His
sons, all in the service, are August, who is home at present; Fred, in
England, and Leonard, on the west coast.
He was a member of the Catholic church.

Funeral Services For Fred Stangl To Be Monday
Manning (THNS) - Funeral services for Fred Stangl, who
succumbed to a heart attack at his home one mile east and two miles
south of Manning Thursday morning, are to be at 9 o'clock Monday morning
at Sacred Heart church here. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Templeton.
Mr. Stangl, who was 62 years old, was born at Dyersville, Ia.,
Aug. 16, 1882. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Stangl of Templeton,
both of whom are deceased.
He was married to Miss Minnie Willenborg in June, 1907, at Sacred
Heart church in Templeton, with the Rev. Father Schulte officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Stangl located at Petersburg, Neb., moving later to
Butte, Mont., and then back to this community about 14 years ago.
Mr. Stangl was a member of Sacred Heart church, Manning, and the
Holy Name Society of Templeton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children:
August, at home; Mrs. Melvin Grimm (Florence), Manning; Sister M. Hilery
(Alfreda) Independence, Ia.; Sgt. Frederick Stangl, in England; Leonard
Stangl, chief gunner's mate, USN, stationed on the west coast; Rita,
Washington, and Agatha, at home

He was preceded in death by a daughter Leona, who was three years
old; three sisters and one brother: Elizabeth, Anna, Mrs. M. M. Nagl
(Mary) and William Stangl, and one half sister, Mrs. Leo Kuhl (Teresa).
Surviving half sisters and brothers are: Mrs. John Berger, Mrs.
Mathilda Kemper, Mrs. Frank Schreck, Bernard Stangfl and Mrs. Peter
Murray, all of Templeton, Ed Stangl of Harlan, Mrs. A. J. Weber
(Katherine), Mrs. Frank Berger (Agnes) and August Stangl, Omaha.
