Margaret Sterling

  Margaret A. Sterling, 55, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Genesis West, Davenport.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Honoring Margy's wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
  She was born May 19, 1951.
  Surviving are sister, Mary Eckstein, brother, Dan Sterling, both Davenport; nieces, Carolyn, Amy, and Barbara, as well as their children, Tia, Joshua, Alyxandria and Samantha.

  Davenport -- Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret A. Sterling, a resident of Davenport, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Honoring Margy's wish cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Marquette Academy Alliance or to the American Cancer Society. Ms. Sterling passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus after an extended illness. Margaret Ann Sterling was born May 19, 1951, the daughter of George and Bertha (Hollinrake) Sterling in Davenport. She was a prevention specialist with the Center for Alcohol and Drug Services for the past nine years. Margy was a member of St. Anthony's Church and an avid collector of Santa Claus figures. Survivors include her sister, Mary Eckstein, and brother, Dan Sterling, both of Davenport; her nieces, Carolyn, Amy, and Barbara, as well as their children, Tia, Joshua, Alyxandria, and Samantha; and many wonderful cousins and friends.
