Walter A. Story
Services for Walter A. Story, 646 Rush St., who died Saturday
evening at the residence, were held at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday from the
Haudenshield Funeral Home, 1258 Main St., to the Epworth Methodist Church.
The Rev. Gilbert S. Cox, pastor, Grandview Avenue Methodist
Church, officiated at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Swanson, pastor
of the Epworth Church, officiated there, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Cox.
The Rev. Mr. Swanson and the Rev. Dr. Cox preached sermons.
Mrs. Robert Swanson sang two hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Carlton Jones.
At the funeral home Miss Myra Bock played organ selection before and
after the services.
Members of the Jephthah White Shrine Lodge conducted ritual
services at 7:30 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
In charge of ritual at the funeral home for the Masonic Lodge,
Farley, were William Beyer, worshipful master; V. M. Duncan, S. W.; Otto
Broessel, J. W., and Robert Miller, Sr., who gave the eulogy.
Burial was in Highview Cemetery, Epworth. The Rev. Mr. Swanson
and the Rev. Dr. Cox officiated, assisted by the Masonic bodies.
Pallbearers were Lyle Miller, Carl Maxwell, Joseph Neumann, George
Streif, Fred Sroka and Raymond Overfoell.
Honorary pallbearers for the Masonic Lodge were Elmer Grew,
William Kirby, Henry Gress, William Ewing and Roland Chatfield.
