Anna Sullivan
The following is an obituary of Ms. Anna Sullivan, whose death
was mentioned in a recent issue of our paper:
Mrs. Sullivan's maiden name was Anna Maney. She was born in
Houston county, Minn., September 17, 1863, and died in the Sheridan
County Memorial hospital in Plentywood, Minn., December 22, 1922, aged
59 years, 3 months and 8 days. Her death was caused by pneumonia. She
was married to Charles Sullivan June 6, 1884, in Corning, and lived here
for a good many years. The body was brought to Corning, where funeral
services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic church December 29th, and
burial was made in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Sullivan's early life was
spent in Dubuque county, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss the
following children: Mrs. Nellie Jackson, of Plentywood, Mont.; Daniel
and William Sullivan, Corning; Mrs. James Bridgeman, of Lenox; Mrs. Nora
Bogert, of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Frances Williams, Vancouver, British
Columbia, all of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Williams,
whose husband and baby were sick. Mrs. Sullivan also leaves 12
grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Mary Bugg, a sister,
of Hennessey, Okla., and Mrs. Mrs. Bertha Sullivan, of Corning, were
present at the funeral, also a brother, James Maney, of Omaha.
