Catherine Sullivan
Catherine Teresa Sullivan, daughter of Charles and Margaret
Geary Sullivan, was born in Dubuque county, Iowa, October 2, 1859, and
died at the home of her sister, Mrs. James Scanlan, in east Adams
county, July 24, 1934. She came to Adams county in 1875, and lived there
over 50 years.
In 1914, she was married to Michael Sullivan of Anthon, Iowa. Mr.
Sullivan died in 1918.
She leaves to mourn her loss six sisters and three brothers. Mrs.
Anna Glew, Delhi; Mrs. James Scanlon, Cromwell, Iowa; Miss Mary
Sullivan, Veterans' Administration Home, Kansas; Mrs. Nellie Jackson,
Mrs. Nora Bogert, Mrs. Frances Williams, Charles, Daniel and W…n,
Corning, Iowa; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father Powers at St.
Patrick's Catholic church, Corning, Iowa, Thursday at 8:00 a. m.
Interment was in Calvary cemetery, Corning, Iowa.
