| George R. Swift - Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.
Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for George Robert Swift, 73,
who died Wednesday in a local hospital after a short illness. Burial
will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today in the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. A native of Kansas, Mr. Swift had live in Modesto since 1935 and was a retired psychiatric technician at Modesto State Hospital. He was a member of St. Stanislaus church. Surviving are three sisters, including Madeline Knight of Salida. (November 20, 1980) Swift - In Modesto, November 19, 1980, George Robert Swift, brother of Blanch Newcomb and Katherine Vanling, both of Denver, Colo., Madeline Knight of Salida, and the late Emmet Swift of Modesto. A native of Jennings, Kansas, aged 73 years. Mass of Christian burial, Saturday, November 22nd at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Stanislaus Church. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, directors.
