Diphtheria Takes Iona Swift, Aged Five

  Iona Swift, aged five years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Swift of five miles southeast of town, died early Sunday morning of diphtheria at the Swift home. She had been ill for the last two weeks. Brief funeral services were held this morning at Elm Grove cemetery, in charge of Rev. Father Hartigan of the St. James Catholic church.
  Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters and four brothers, Mrs. James Lowe, who lives near Washington; Mrs. J. H. Westen of this city; Sergeant Jesse Swift of Sanderson, Texas, who is in the aviation service; Pat Swift of east of town; and Frances B. and James Perry Swift, who live at home. Two brothers, Charles Thomas and John Clyde are deceased.
