Fred A. Theulen
Dedham - Fred A. Theulen, 75, lifelong Dedham resident, died
at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, at the Veterans Administration Hospital,
Des Moines, after being in failing health for nine months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist
Church in Dedham, with the Rey. Andrew Stewart-Morris officiating.
Interment will be in the Dedham Cemetery, with military honors by
DeWitt-Loustanau Post No. 20, American Legion, of which Mr. Theulen was
a member. Arrangements are in charge of the Twit Funeral Home, Carroll,
where friends may call starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. The casket will be
moved to the church at noon Monday for viewing until the hour of services.
Mr. Theulen was born here May 8, 1895, a son of Charles and Mary
Beyerink Theulen. He served with the 23rd Engineers in World War I,
holding the rank of corporal. His marriage to Jessie Beebe took place at
Manning Jan. 7, 1922.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert of Auburn and
Raymond of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Beverly) Balukoff
of Dedham and Mrs. Glenna Mosman of Omaha; also 18 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Theulen was preceded in death by an infant son, one sister
and three brothers.
