Francis Tracey
Francis Tracey, son of the late George Tracey and Catherine
Nesbit Tracey, was born in Adam county October 13, 1906 and died at the
Rosary hospital in Corning October 22.
He had lived all his life in Adams county with the exception of
the time spent in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion
and the V.F.W. Posts. He graduated from the Corning High school with the
class of 1926.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary
McEniry and Mildred Tracey; two brothers, Arthur and Hugh Tracey.
Mr. Tracey is survived by a brother, James Tracey and a sister,
Mrs. Violet Curry, both of Corning; three nieces, two nephews, six great
nephews, two great nieces and a number of cousins.
Funeral services were held from the St. Patrick Catholic Church
Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock, conducted by Father Jacob Weiss.
Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Homer O'Connell, Wm.
Ryan, John Keefe, John Jones, John Kane and Ed Talty.
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and
Mrs. Hugh Hogan of Villisca, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Hogan of Loveland,
Colo., Bill Wood of Creston, Sister M. Claude Agnes of Dubuque, Mrs.
Hugh Tracey of Farley, Iowa and James Greenwood of Monticello, Iowa.
