Obituary

  Mrs. Mary Welch, wife of Wm. Welch died Friday evening, May 31st, at her late home 5 miles north and west of Keithsburg, aged 39 years. She was born June 2, 1856. February 5, 1880, she was married at St. Mary's church, Rev. Father McKenna pastor. To this union was born six children, the oldest now 14 and the youngest 3 years of age. The funeral was held last Sunday from St. Mary's Catholic church and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery, followed by a large funeral procession. Her sickness was of a few months' duration. Resigned to the holy will of God, yet yearning at the thought of her family should it be bereft of a mother, her soul departed this life.
