Lora L. Wetzstein

  Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View for Mrs. Lora L. Wetzstein, 93, who died July 10 at Park View Manor in Sac City.
  Rev. H. W. Kramer officiated at the service, Leland Weitzel was the vocalist and Mrs. Walter Schramm organist for the service.
  Casket attendants were Lloyd Smith, Herb Onstot, Lloyd Moody, Raymond Lange, Marvin Weitzel and Luverne Strong. Interment was in Ferguson Cemetery under the direction of the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home of Lake View. Mrs. Ronald Bettin and Mrs. Herb Schultz served as the flower committee.
  Lora L. Wetzstein was born on a farm near Sac City February 11, 1880, the daughter of Charles O. and Carrie Hayden Strong. She received her early education in the country school, and later, upon completion of a normal course at the Sac City Institute, taught school in Boyer Valley Township, Sac County.
  She was married September 16, 1903 to Charles C. Wetzstein at Dorsey, Illinois and they established their home at Early, where Mr. Wetzstein founded the Early Concrete Stone Company. In 1913, Mr. Wetzstein moved his business to Lake View.
  Mrs. Wetzstein was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Lake View Woman's Club and the Priscilla Club of Lake View.
  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R. L. (Helen) Wicker of Phoenix, Arizona and Mrs. William H. (Lois) Redenbaugh of Lake View; one son, Harland Wetzstein of Lake View; one brother, Walter Strong of Red Wing, Minnesota; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
  Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; four brothers: Harry, Guy, Stanley and Claire; and two sisters: Eunice and Ina May.
  Friends and relatives from out-of-town who attended the funeral services were from Davenport, Iowa City, Lake City, Odebolt, Schaller, Fort Dodge, Sac City and Carroll in Iowa and from Chicago, Illinois.
