Delbert Major Wolford

Auburn - Delbert Major Wolford, 64, Auburn resident for the
past 24 years, died about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wolford, of a heart attack
at his home here.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the
Huffman Memorial Chapel, Lake City, with burial in the Early Cemetery.
The Rev. M. H. Kennedy, Auburn, will conduct the services.
Mr. Wolford was a retired employe of the Chicago & North
Western Railway. He was born at Manson Jan. 4, 1896, a son of John V.
and Mary Angeline Johnston Wolford. His marriage to Jessie Gladys
Armagost took place at Sac City Feb. 17, 1916. He was a member of the
Congregational Church at Manson.
Surviving with his wife are three daughters: Mrs. Foster (Ruth)
Steele, Early; Mrs. Richard (Alice) Waters, Sioux City; and Mrs. William
(Lola) Wadsworth, Des Moines; one son, Glen Wolford; two sisters, Mrs.
Margaret Westendorf, Windom, Minn.; and Mrs. Glen Love. Brownsdale,
Minn.; one brother, Donald Wolford, Sac City; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son. Clarence
Major Wolford, who died at the age of four months.
