Amelia Wulf

  DAVENPORT -- Mrs. Amelia H. Wulf, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, in Davenport. She was born Feb. 7, 1907, the daughter of Johannes and Alvina (Voss) Pagel. On Jan. 21, 1927, she married Herman Wulf in Rock Island. He preceded her in death May 16, 1968. Mrs. Wulf retired from Fidlar and Chambers in Davenport in 1980. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan and was devoted to her family, enjoyed Saturday lunches with her daughter, granddaughter, and great-grandson, and Wednesday and Saturday telephone calls from her son in Princeton, N.J. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald J. and Barbara Wulf, of Princeton, N.J.; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Jim Dengler, of Davenport; son-in-law, Bernard Schmidt, of Aledo, Ill.; grandchildren, James, David, and John Wulf, Grant, Brad, and Lee Schmidt, Kathy Dean, and Amy Puckett; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mardelle Schmidt, in 2001. Private committal services will be held at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her daughter Mardelle's memory to the Alzheimer's Association. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with final arrangements. Cub Fan's Creed I was born a Cub's fan and always will be, the friendly confines of Wrigley Field is the place for me. Win or lose, I'll stand by their side and when the Cubs win the World Series I'll be beaming with pride.
