Frank (Matt) Zitzlsperger
Willey - Frank (Matt) Zitzlsperger, 84, a retired farmer, died
at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, of an apparent heart attack while enroute
to St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday,
Dec. 15, at St. Mary's church in Willey with the Rev. James Fangman
officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Sharp Funeral Home of
Carroll, was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond Meyer, Ed Gehling, Robert Schreck, Bob
Nagl, George Renze and Merle Trecker. Rudy Meyers was lector and Alice
Schroeder and Margaret Bayer, nieces, gift-bearers.
Military graveside rites were conducted by the Dedham American
Legion post. Mr. Zitzlsperger was a veteran of World War I. He is
survived by his wife Carrie; a brother William Zitzlsperger; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nine sisters and two brothers.
He was born Jan. 13, 1896, on the farm where he lived all his
life, a son of Michael and Anna Balk Zitzlsperger. He was married Feb.
28, 1922, to Caroline Elizabeth Rosauer at St. Mary's church by the late
Msgr. Magnus Schemmel. He received his early education at St. Mary's
school and was a member of St. Mary's church at Willey.
