Mrs. James Mack
St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Viola was the scene of the
wedding of Miss Penny Boyle of San Francisco, Calif., and Capt. James
Mack of Westhampton, N. Y., Saturday, Nov. 9.
The Rev. James L. Morrissey, pastor of the church, officiated at
the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony. Mrs. James Barnes of Viola was organist
and Mrs. Donald Clute of Alexis was soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Boyle of
Goodyear Lastikleri TAS PK - 2, Izmit, Turkey, and the bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert L. Mack of Viola.
Given in marriage by her brother, Robert Boyle, Jr., of Akron,
Ohio, the bride was attired in a white satin gown, trimmed with lace.
The slim skirt extended into a full chapel train. A lace pill box,
accented with seed pearls, held her tiered elbow length veil, and she
carried an arrangement of Butterfly orchids and lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Richard Scheu of Irvine, Calif., served her sister as matron
of honor. Her floor length ruby velvet gown was designed in empire style
and the sleeves were trimmed with white fur. Her pill box hat was also
white fur and white carnations.
The bridesmaids. Miss Maureen Conner of Peoria and the
bridegroom's sister, Miss Jeanne Mack of Wyoming, Ill., served as
bridesmaids and were attired in gowns styled like the matron of honor's.
Miss Joyce Mack of Viola served as flower girl and was dressed
like the other attendants.
Major Thomas Mack of Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nev., served his
brother as best man. Capt. Timothy Gilmartin of Omaha, Nebr., and
Colonel Ken Miles of Boston, Mass., were groomsmen. The guests were
seated by Tom Frakes of Viola, and Tom Connors of Canton.
Following the wedding, the couple received 150 guests at the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Aledo.
When the couple return from their wedding trip to Germany and
Turkey, they will live at Long Island, N. Y.
Mrs. Mack is a graduate of Andrews School For Girls, Willoughby,
Ohio, and Ohio State University, Columbus. She is a stewardess for Pan
American Airlines.
