The marriage of Miss Mary Elizabeth Mack of Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Mack of Reynolds, Ill., and Robert F. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Young of 147 North Thornwood, Davenport, was a quiet event of 9:30 a.m. Monday in the rectory of the Holy Family church.
The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Conway officiated, and the attendants were Miss Ruth Madden and Leo Mack, the latter a brother of the bride.
The bride wore an afternoon frock of dusty rose wool with wine colored velvet trim. Her accessories were in brown, and her flowers were Talisman roses. Miss Madden's costume was of blue crepe and her corsage was of pink roses.
Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served in the Pompeiian room of the Hotel Blackhawk for members of the families. Covers were laid for 20 at the attractively decorated table, guests present from out of town being Jane and John Wilcox of Ottumwa, Ia., and Bernard Mack of San Diego, Calif.
On their return from a wedding trip, the destination of which was not disclosed, the bridal couple will reside at 2022 Myrtle street, Davenport.
The bride is a graduate of the Immaculate Conception academy and of the Nurses Training school at Mercy hospital, where she is now serving as a staff nurse.
