Catherine Stecher is married to Bernard Mack

  St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Muscatine, was the setting Sept. at 1 p.m. for the wedding of Catherine Ann Stecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stecher, Route 2, Muscatine, to Bernard Mack 1206 Oak, Wilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mack, Route 1, Box NO 46, Viola. The Rev. Thomas Gehlsen officiated.
  The bride was attired in a gown styled with Victorian neckline and embroidered beaded Chantilly lace bodice, long sleeves and lace cuffs and full skirt flowing into a train edged with Chantilly lace. A fingertip-length veil edged in Chantilly lace completed the ensemble.
  Maid of honor was Holly Stecher, Muscatine, sister of the bride, attired in a rose polyester gown. Bridesmatrons were Karen Beach, Lincoln, and Lou Ann Christofferson, Muscatine, sisters of the bride, and bridesmaids were Denise Causse and Connie Jewett, both of Muscatine, cousins of the bride, attired in gowns matching the maid of honor.
  Chris and Theresa Newswander, Viola, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls. Ringbearer was Bradley Stecher, Durant, nephew of the bride.
  Best man was Robert Mack, Ames, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Mike Mack, Davenport, Dan Mack, Minnesota, brothers of the bridegroom; Alan Thorell, Houston, Texas, and Cameron Warren, Davenport. Seating guests were Jack Lafayette and Clint Gingerich, both of Viola.
  A reception and dance was held at the Durant Community Center.
  The couple took a wedding trip to Colorado. They will reside in Wilton.
  Mrs. Mack was graduated from Muscatine High School and is employed at Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor, Muscatine. Her husband was graduated from Winola High School, Viola and is employed as sales manager for Firestone, Muscatine. (1983)
