California Bride Mrs. Daniel Mack (nee Joyce M. White)
Aledo--Miss Joyce M. White of San Diego, Calif., became the bride of
Ensign Daniel Mack, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Mack of Preemption, at a
double ceremony performed Aug. 27 in San Diego. A sister of Mrs. Mack,
Miss Arlene White became the bride of a naval aviator, Joseph F. Pfahnl
of San Francisco, at the same service.
The couples attended each other at the ceremony. The brides wore
identical wedding attire, powder blue suits, brown felt hats with pink
feather trim, and brown accessories and pink rose corsages.
Ensign Mack is a graduate of Reynolds high school and he attended
St. Ambrose college in davenport. He has two brothers in the navy,
Lieutenant Bernard Mack, and Seaman William H. Mack, and a brother
Sergeant Joseph Mack, in the army.
Ensign Mack expects to leave soon for active duty as a naval
aviator in the south pacific war zone.
