Paul Marteney earned his juris doctorate from West Virginia University College of Law in 1996. He has been practicing in St. Marys with Brian K. Carr at Carr Law Offices, PLLC since 2007.

Paul is a former Chief Administrative Law Judge with the West Virginia Public Employees Grievance Board, and a former assistant general counsel for the W. Va. Insurance Commission. Prior to his service with the State of West Virginia, he was in private practice in Madison and Buckhannon, West Virginia.

Paul is admitted to practice before all state courts in West Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. He accepts cases statewie, but focuses his practice on serving Pleasants, Wood, Ritchie, Doddridge, Wetzel and Tyler Counties.
