This was the first episode I actually liked. It was generally well-written
and well-acted, with some genuine tension in the second half. The theme
song still sucks, though.

There must have been a butterfly on the other side of the planet flapping
it's wings. The Enterprise's sensors are unable to detect the lactic acid
decay rate of a Monarch's muscular signature, so the storm literally came
out of nowhere. Or maybe somebody just forgot to look out the window.
