You're generalizing with insufficient data. All we know is what Phlox's
current involvement is. We have no idea what customs are, in general, on
Denobula, or whether different continents, or cultures, or religions, or
whatever, have different customs. Further, for all we know, Phlox is in an
arrangment that changes every year, or with every third moon's orbit near a
comet, or.... The possibilities are simply infinite.
