Yes, I remember "The A-Team"!! In fact, the theme for that show is
one of the ringtones that I use on my cell phone!!

"I pity the poor fool who does not use the theme from my show on his
cell phone!!"------ Mr. T. ;-)

I remember the show, and it took me years to realize that our favorite TNG
character Barclay was on the show.

Once again, we forget about the universal translator.

>Once again, we forget about the universal translator.

Should it really be so advanced already that any alien language can be
automatically decoded?

No, they didn't. He also deserves props for helping to make it look like
the miners did their own dirty work vs. the Klingon pirate/merchants.

Yes. And I may have an idea of what you're getting at here. Not sure if
the comparison's a good one just yet, though.

Very much so. I half expected the crew of the Enterprise to come up
with a cabbage cannon or something like that, all constructed from odd
junk lying about in a shed. Also, shades of Magnificent Seven, and
Seven Samurai. Only vaguely, however. No one gets killed, so that's
more A-Team style.

I loved the A-Team. Bad guys' car goes airborne, hits the ground,
rolls
over a hundred times. The next words you hear:

"Are you o.k.?"

"Yeah, are you o.k.?"

"Yeah."

Is this a Freudian slip? <g> Dessert vs desert.

Uh - first, he doesn't save the ship. Archer says the Klingon ship is no match
for Enterprise. Second, Mayweather does it because he's told to do it - what
should he be getting credit for, following orders?

Well, it's "The Magnificent Seven" with liberal helpings of "Blazing Saddles"

Some other people might say she'd taste good as a DESSERT !!!
but not me ... any course would be fine ...

Sorry, that was too funny !
