MJC Review:
The Drama -
Now you see me now you don't. Abra-Kadabra, Alakazam. Poof!  At first, I thought that this would be yet another lame and infamous trek transporter accident episode.   However, events unfolded a bit better than most similar story premises.  Hoshi's dreams revealed some of her hidden character feelings - self confidence, acceptance, fitting in.  Certainly this must have only represented the tip of the ice berg about Hoshi's feelings.  After all, this is her first deep space assignment and she is young and inexperienced.  Fortunately, there was no Hoshi screaming and whining in this episode.  There was one thing missing in her dream beside duty, honor, and all that stuff...love interest??  Oh well, maybe next time.  She should feel more confident about transporters now. Hoshi should remember, it was all just a 1-2 second dream.  At least she doesn't suffer from transporter psychosis.  True, there was some similarity with Barclay in TNG's "Realm of Fear", but during this era everyone is afraid of transporters.  Some good acting, too, by Linda Park.
Tid Bits -
1) Mayweather played no significant role in this episode.

2) Hoshi has nice skin!

3) What alien language was that that Hoshi's subconscious mind concocted anyway??

4) So what would have happened in reality if Hoshi had not stepped onto the alien mobile transporter in her brief dream??
What it all means -
Hoshi is afraid of transporters or everything that Hoshi is worried about, but could only be experience within 1-2 seconds inside the transporter buffer.
3 cool peace signs
