MJC Review:
The Drama -

Nothing much to say on this one in the way of story telling and character development. This was a combination of TNG 'Lonely Among Us', 'Power Play', and TOS 'Return to Tomorrow' as well as elements from various other Star Trek "out-of-body-experience-consciousnesses-taking-over" type episodes. I guess the producers and writers have been watching previous Star Trek series to see why it was so good. After all, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. There could of been some new plot twists or even a more unique ending to this re-occurring storyline. However, it was just the same-ol', same-ol' predictable and lame stuff. I hope, at least, someone remembered the portable toilet when the crew had to evacuate to the catwalk again.

I was somewhat disturbed by the ending. I don't think it was within Archer's character to just flat out destroy the noncorporeal alien ship. After all, the aliens were only trying to save themselves the only way they knew how. Typically, Archer would have not only saved his own crew, but would have also been able to bridge the gap between his adversary and his personal feelings. Thus, he would have saved (if not shown how) the alien people as well. If Archer was that concerned for his ship's safety, what happened to "take out their engines" and run? There have been other Enterprise episodes where there was far more justification to destroying the alien ship of the week than this one. Oh well, I guess 22nd human maturity has taken a downfall with this episode. Next!

Tid Bits -
1) Mayweather pilots the ship from the catwalk again.

2) Phlox can fight back!

3) Hoshi fights like a girl when possessed.

4) These aliens seem to be able to knock out propulsion and weapons on the Enterprise, but not on the shuttle. I guess the shuttle runs on rat wheel power.

What it all means -
The enterprise crew has their first consciousness taking over experience and performs their own unique exorcism to save the day.
2 cool peace signs
