MJC Review:
The Drama -

When the crew were faced with themselves, or rather their descendants, one has to wonder what kind of character interaction would take place. For the original crew it was more like them trying to come to grips with what might happen later on in life. For the descendants, it was like "wow, their are our great grand parents". This set the stage for some good emotional drama with both crews and the consequences of their contact. While the rest of the crew tries to figure out all this time travel subspace corridor stuff, Lorian's and Archer's different approaches to stopping the Xindi weapon becomes a problem for both ship and crew. Lorian had a chance at stopping the first attack on earth, but failed. Given that, he was more determined than ever to stop the final super weapon from being launched - even so much as to attack and steal from the original Enterprise. One can imagine that Archer didn't like having that trick played on him. Archer was determined as well to stop the Xindi super weapon at all cost. Although, their goal was common, their different approaches eventually came head-to-head and threatened the mission. The way that issue was resolved was a bit wishy washy. It didn't seem to be in Lorian's character to stand down and surrender to Archer, but he did anyways. The Archer/Lorian scene in the brig was good. The viewer gained some good understanding of were Lorian was coming from, what his motivations were, and how this half human half Vulcan person felt. Even though Lorian was the prodigy of T'Pol and Trip, he acted more like Archer. His drive, motivations, determination, and even his command style was all Archer. It was as though this character was written as a T'Pol/Archer child, but somewhere along the episode production assembly, someone decided to change his parental heritage. There has been some confusion with past episodes whether their was a T'Pol/Trip or T'Pol/Archer romance developing. Either of which would make for good story telling, but there does need to be some consistency on this topic. One can always just flip a coin and watch the next episode to find out who's next.

The ending was well done. It was good that the writers left open the question of what happened to the other Enterprise. Were they destroyed, escaped, or as a successful result of Archer's travel through the space corridor had made that time line non-existent? Try not to think about it too much for it will surely give one a head-ache.

Tid Bits -

1) Mayweather and Hoshi share some tender moments about who they had hooked up with on the other Enterprise.

2) The "other" Read strikes out with the chicks. Porthos most likely followed the same course.

3) So why does a hostile race guard the entrance to the subspace corridor?

4) Starfleet names NX-02 the Columbia.

5) Degra's line at the end was great! "You're early"

What it all means -
A replay of DS9's 'Children of Time', but in it's own unique way.
3 cool peace signs
