MJC Review:
The Drama -

Archer must do what no man has done before - bring together four different species in cooperation against a common threat. It goes without saying that a starship captain's shoes are pretty big to fill. For Archer, it has taken the last three years for him to overcome his own distrust with Vulcans and now he must build some sort of common mutual trust between two bitter rivals, the Andorians and Tellarites. It certainly didn't help matters much that one of the Tellarites shot Talas (Shran's mate) in last weeks episode. In this episode, she dies from that wound which enrages Shran to the extreme. This, of course, threatens Archer's overall plan and he must use some unusual tactics and schemes to satisfy Shran's vengeance yet at the same time, build common trust between all. Not exactly an easy effort for a one hour episode, but the scenes and story telling seemed to be paced just right to not only get the message across, but play for an entertaining show. The directing also seemed to have a bit more pizzazz than with previous enterprise episodes.

Trip and Reed get a bit more bonding time in the marauding ship. As they plot to disable the ship, they themselves have to plot to save their lives when the Romulans uncover their doings and try to use their typical Romulan methods at defeating them.

Hoshi and Mayweather actually get to play important and useful rolls in this episode! Hoshi puts her linguistics and interpretation to use to figure away how Archer can use Andorian honor system to save the day. Mayweather, all of a sudden, becomes an interstellar lawyer and sifts through all of the Andorian honor codes to find a way to satisfy the fight, yet no one getting killed.

Tid Bits -

1) Mayweather devises a detection scheme to detect the marauding ship.

2) The dude in the VR masked is revealed! He's some kind of Andorian.

3) Archer chops off one of Shran's antennae.

What it all means -
Humans, Andorians, Tellarites and Vulcans work in cooperation against a common threat.
