Davilectro #5 and a Casino

Walt Carroll liked the sound of my lipstick tube pickup guitar so much that he asked me to make one for him. He wanted it to be portable so it would be easy to carry on a plane. This is the result. It has a 25.5" scale Warmoth neck. The rattler on the headstock was Walt's idea. Unfortunately, the guitar on the left had too many problems. I placed the bridge pickup so close to the bridge that the sound it produced was tinny and very low volume. The other thing about it was that you couldn't play it while seated because it would slide off your leg. So I discarded that body and cut the one on the third picture. It also has problems, but it's at least playable.

I had been wanting an Epiphone Casino with a Bigsby for a long time. This one came up on eBay with a great Buy It Now price, so I snatched it up.
