Russellville presents the national award-winning kids band - The Imagination Movers - from New Orleans , Louisiana who will perform a dynamic concert for children and grown-ups alike! The event takes place on Thursday, June 14th in the Witherspoon Auditorium on the Arkansas Tech University campus. Show times are 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the show will go to the TAB Faith In Action non-profit organization in the Russellville and River Valley areas. The purpose of Tumors (Cancer), Accidents, and Burns (TAB) is to offer various assistance to children who suffer from these conditions as well as help for the families of these children. TAB consists of volunteers who raise public awareness and also provide education to those dealing with tumors, accidents and burns.
The Imagination Movers are fast-rising stars and their videos: "I Want My Mommy," "My Favorite Snack" and "Clean My Room" have been seen on the Disney Channel and PBS. Mover music is also on heavy rotation on XM and Sirius satellite radio as well as Radio Disney. In fact, five new videos are now playing on Playhouse Disney and even a TV show is in the works!
The Movers consist of Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott "Smitty" Smith. These real-life dads jam on guitars, bang on buckets and cans and teach kids a variety of fun, interactive dances and sing-alongs. They combine age-appropriate educational themes with catchy choruses, high-energy power cords and unique "junk drumming" to create a live show the whole family can enjoy. The kids will have a blast and grown-ups you will too!
