Paid in Full

Directed by Nasir Khan

Things are going well for Ian Rocke. He's got a good job, a nice apartment, and this really cute girl just moved in across the hall. Life is good, until George W. Little pays him a call to receive payment for an unpaid bill, which turns his life upside-down. On this fateful day a single phone call has caused a man to fall apart. Ian, like most people, had always believed that avoidance was the best way to deal with his old debts. But he meets his match in George W. Little, your typical annoying and unscrupulous collection agent who gets assigned to Ian's case. As has happened to many of us before, Ian is hounded at work and home, day and night, and is unable to escape this nightmare. Collection agencies will stop at no lengths to receive payment for something they could really care less about otherwise. When the harassment leads to Ian's dismissal at work, as well as blowing his shot with the hottie next door, Ian decides its times to teach George W. Little a lesson he will never forget.

One fault I did notice, as tedious as it may seem, was when he was checking his answering machine at one point it showed to be a certain number of calls on the caller id and then another. A fault that had no bearing on the film, yet still needs to be addressed as continuity it a very important part of a film. Other than that PAID IN FULL was excellent on all aspects and had all cylinders churning. There’s really nothing that can be said bad about this film. The cinematography was crisp and clean and the acting performances were stellar. I especially like the use of musical overtones to set the mood for this flick. Excellent job all around by those involved. I really enjoyed this flick, as I’ve been tempted numerous times to reach through the phone and choke the shit out of those annoying bill collectors. Nasir Kahn brilliantly tells a story in under 15 minutes. With no beating around the bush, going straight for the jugular, PAID IN FULL adds that dark comedic flair, by suggesting that revenge, can be the best means of payment. Nasir Kahn shows us just how much skill he has. PAID IN FULL is a movie that should be viewed by anyone who’s been bothered by those annoying bill collectors as it gives you a sort of vindication.
