Directed by Matthew Saliba
PANDORAS PARADOX is a fucked up
surrealistic tale of a woman who gives birth to a giant toe. Once fed milk
the toe transforms into a young boy. This is when things get chaotic and
disturbing. In a world full of S&M PANDORAS PARADOX is quite odd. In a
strange Far Eastern like situation the boy’s life is fucked up forever when
he walks in on his parents doing some weird mating thing as his father has a
pouch like thing attached to his penis and shockers attached to his wife’s
nipples.
From a disturbing visual view from inside the vagina to nasty ass baby
sounds, PANDORAS PARADOX is terrifying and extremely disgusting.
There’s not really any way to honestly try to explain this film other than
experimental and very interesting. Matthew Saliba’s visionary style is
disturbing and confusing. Though you feel dirty while watching this you will
actually feel disappointed that it only runs at 24 minutes. I must say I was
thoroughly impressed with the cinematography and usage of camera angels at
the hands of Chris Alsop and Pierre Larouche. Saliba is a gutsy filmmaker
and is stating his place in the film industry, and I thank him for giving us
such a film to view. It’s been a while since we’ve been graced with such
chaos and beauty. For those interested in checking this film out, I highly
recommend it but must warn you to go in with caution and trashcan nearby.
Now I’m ready to check out his next flick The Manipulator and Subservient.
