ANNOUNCEMENTS

JULY MISSION PROJECT: A New Beginning Pregnancy Center.

July Newsletters are in the foyer mailboxes.  Extras are available on the table.  To sign up or to change your address, please complete a green form.
 
VISITATION is ongoing each Wednesday from 1 to 3 pm.  Volunteers please meet Pastor Paul at the Family Center.

The Sound Technicians report that although they now have the funds to install the FM Radio transmitter that would help the hearing impaired, they have encountered technical difficulties.  They ask for your patience as they work through the problem.

If you are interested in sponsoring a student to Camp Cowen this summer please see one of the Youth leaders, or mark your check for camp tuition.  The cost is $145.00 per camper.

GBA Softball League Tournament dates will be announced.

Woman at the Well Ministries is facing a decision whether to discontinue broadcasting on WEMM, due to an increase in broadcasting costs.  Please see Kim, Erika, or Beth if you have questions or want to help support the ministry.

JULY EVENTS

Fri.-Sun., July 25-27 – Family Fun Days and Archery Expo 2008 at Parchment Valley, sponsored by the WV Chapter of Christian Bowhunters of America.  Special guest speaker, David Blanton of Team Realtree.  Please see Jo for more information.

Sun., July 27 – Church and Community Day in Barboursville. Picnic at Pavilion #8 at 5:30 pm, band concert at the amphitheater at 7 pm.

Sun., July 27, 7 pm – Steve Brumfield and others will present a report on his recent mission trip to Mexico.

AUGUST EVENTS

Sat., August 2, 7 am –12 noon – The Youth Department is sponsoring a BIG rummage sale at the bread surplus store on Rt. 60. Hot dogs, baked goods and beverages will also be sold.  Proceeds will go for camp fees and event expenses. You may bring items you wish to donate to the Beaver Building.  (If you can wait until the week of the sale to bring your items, please do so.)  If you have questions, please call Toni Madden at  304-208-0815.

Sat., August 2, 2 pm – Open church wedding of Lara Miller and Alex Neal. Lara is the daughter of Richard and Martha Miller.

Sun., August 3, 7 pm – Rev. Brent Gibson will speak about his recent trip to Israel.
 

Sun.-Wed., August 3-6 – Camp Global, Family Mission Camp, at Camp Cowen. On Monday afternoon, the Turley Partnership Team will make a presentation.  Registration blanks are on the foyer table.

Mon., Aug. 4, 7 pm – Deacon Board meeting in the Family Center.

Fri.-Sun., Aug. 8-10 – AB Men’s Camp at Camp Cowen.  See Tom McComas for details.  Registration blanks are on the foyer table.

Sun., August 10, 11 am – Annual Homecoming.  Bring covered dishes to share, and stay and fellowship after dinner.  No evening service.

Mon., Aug. 11, 7 pm – Christian Board meeting, in the Family Center.

Sun., Aug. 17, 7 pm – Servant’s Heart will bring us special music.

Sun., Aug. 24, 7 pm – All Stars for Jesus will resume after their summer break.

Sun., Aug. 31, 7 pm – Fifth Sunday Night Sing.

Alberta Marie Smith, 92, of Lesage, whose funeral service was July 16.  She was the sister of Mary Yoho.

Gambling establishments are now present in Ona.  Pray each day at noon that the owners of these types of businesses will be saved.
Our young people are traveling to and from Camp Cowen the next few weeks.
