Scout troop 701 News

Our boys are anxiously awainting another camping season.  Winter is behind us and our guys want to get out and enjoy the outdoors.  Many of the guys in the troop went to Merit Badge College in February and earned two more merit badges. Our six original Boy Scouts, who are: Charlie Hibner, Adam Jarvis, Nick Martin, Nick Smith, J. D. Evans, and Nathaniel Guy, have completed all their required merit badges for Eagle Scout, or are working on their last required one, which is Personal Fitness.
Chad Hibner and Matthew Guy are Tenderfoot rank and the six boys mentioned above are all Star rank and hope to be Life rank this summer.
These boys have to complete another service project, which they are wanting to do for their churches. We are very proud of our boys. They are all planning to go to Scout Camp this summer. Five of our boys are in the Order Of The Arrow, which is a Scouting Honor Society. Their goal is service to the community and the Area Council. Their spring fellowship camp-out and service work days are coming up on April 26- 28 at Camp Arrowhead. Thes boys are: Nick Martin, Nick Smith, Adam Jarvis, Charlie Hibner, and J. D. Evans. They will also have a lot of fun.
The main goal of our Troop is to promote an ongoing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, and uphold his values. We are very thankful to our church for their continued support.
