Pack 129 Pinewood 5:00 PM set up 6:00 PM weigh-in starts & dues
collection 6:45 PM racing begins 8:00 PM - 3rd annual adult race will be conducted
after the Cub Scouts are done.
- Adult cars must meet official dimensions. No starting devices or external
propulsion. No limit on wheels or
weight. Everyone except Wolves should bring 2 liter
& desert Wolves to supply paper products Pack will have pizza & chips for a nominal
fee Last date to pay dues of $35/yr to Angela
Stump Registration fee due of $4 to Lee Barnhouse for the Allohak
Council Pinewood Derby Volunteers requested to set up, help with the
races, and clean up afterward. Contact

Skiing
at Winterplace
The
Boy Scouts sponsor three days of skiing each year at Winterplace,
near
Skiing & Meal $49 (lift ticket,
lessons, rentals, & meal ticket)
Tubing all day pass and meal $42
Tubing 2 hour Pass $12.50 (9:00 am to
5:00 pm at 2 hour intervals)
Snowboarding $88 (lift ticket, with board
rental and meal)
Snowboarding $49 (lift ticket and meal, without
board rental)
Additional Meal tickets available @ $6.00
The
dates for this year are January 10, 2010, February 21, 2010 and March 7,
2010. Advance registration is requested
by the Thursday prior to each date and will allow you to avoid long lines at Winterplace. Each
family will need to make their own reservations by contacting the scout
office. Additional information will be
posted on the council web site.
BSA
policy now requires the use of helmets for downhill skiing, snowboarding and
the operation of snowmobiles. Winterplace Ski Resort
will provide helmets free of charge.
Pinewood
There will be plenty of opportunities to
race your Pinewood Derby car:
The Pinewood Derby track will be set up
for test runs at 7:30 pm on Jan. 12 and 19 at the Washington UM Church
The Blennerhassett Districts Pinewood
Derby will be held on January 16th at
The Pack 129 Pinewood Derby will be held
in the Blennerhassett Elementary Gym on Jan. 22.
The Davis Anderson Memorial (Allohak Council) Pinewood Derby will be held at the Grand
Central Mall on Feb. 5. This race is optional for Pack members. Details are
posted on the council web site at http://www.allohak.org/. Registration and payment of $4/Cub Scout is due to Lee Barnhouse at the Pack Meeting on
Jan. 21.
The rules for building
your Pinewood Derby car are posted on the council web site at http://www.allohak.org/pwd/2011damrules.pdf . These rules will be strictly followed for the
District and Council races.
Dues
Pack dues of $35 per boy are due before the end of January 2011. The dues are for annual registration ($15),
Boy's Life magazine ($12) and funding for pack awards/activities ($8). Remember that dues can be deducted from the
scout's pack account (based on pack fundraising activity participation). Please try to pay Angela Stump no later than the Pack Meeting on Jan. 21.
