The following descendant list was created from these sources:

1.  A "best effort" to record all those Phelps in Robert Barnes' paper The Phelps Family and a follow-on paper, Further Notes on Phelps by Louis F. Giles. Each was published in a Maryland Genealogical Society Bulletin.    I encourage the careful reader to check the original paper if specifics are important. 

2.  A personal genealogy on one line provided to me by a Phelps whose line was  researched by this same Robert Barns. Parts of it are highlighted in yellow

2.  My research using census records and a few obits  to trace one major line to the present.  Parts of its highlighted in yellow also.

 

 

Note:  Isaiah Phelps was listed in the 1776 Census of All Hallows Church with 1 white male, 3 white females and 3 white children.  Barnes concludes that Isaiah was “possibly the father of Ezekiel Phelps… and that  “He is placed as the father of Ezekiel Phelps because he is the only Phelps listed in the 1776 census of Anne Arundel Co having children not accounted for, and because Ezekiel named one of his children Walter Watkins Phelps. The Walter could have been for Ezekiel's grandfather Walter.”
