Osurg Sea Cave
(between Moonstone Beach and Houda Point)

"Osurg" is a Yurok word meaning "blow hole".  Toward the back of the cave is a roof vent that blasts showers of spray in storms.  This photo was taken December 22, 2003.  Today a huge, wet, slippery boulder occupies the cave mouth.  Entry is a challenge, but not impossible.  Expect to get wet...  Be careful!
