This is the Smith family, James Asbury Smith, wife Martha Preas Smith, and children.

James is the son of Mack Henry Preas & Linnie Mae Shelton Preas
Herman "Doc" Preas and James "Rob" Preas - circa 1940
both are sons of Mack Henry Preas - donated by Jerry Preas
This says "The Clerk of the County of Bedford is hereby authorized to issue Marriage License to
Mr. Thomas F. Candler and my daughter Sarah Jane Prease - Aug 9th 1865 - signed Mahala L. Prease
Witness John H. Prease" - Mahala is the mother of John Henry Preas and wife of Joseph Preas Jr.
I found this on the internet somewhere may years ago. It is not known if the signatures were signed by someone else.
Almost all of these pictures were donated by Dovie Preas Crowell and Gerald Preas
They are very much appreciated by the Preas Family.
