We are located in Eureka, Northern California, about 250 miles
north of San Francisco, and 80 miles south of the Oregon Border.
Eureka is a town of approximately 27,000 inhabitants. Together
with other towns in a 20 mile radius, such as Fortuna, Ferndale,
Arcata and McKinleyville, the population amounts to about 70,000.
Humboldt County counts about 130,000 people.

Eureka is pedestrian friendly and is home
to many fine restaurants and live entertainment.
The recently opened Arkley Center
for the Performing Arts hosts Jazz Festivals, the Eureka Symphony, and many national and international performers.
The theater lover can choose among the Eureka Theater , the North Coast Repertory Theatre , the Ferndale Repertory Theatre, the Humboldt Light Opera Company, and the Van Duzer Theatre. The latter, also known as the Center Arts in Arcata attracts many renown artists such as Leo Kottke, The Bellydance Superstars, The Peking Acrobats, James Brown, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Emmylou Harris, Lou Reed, Randy Newman, Bill Cosby, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, Los Lobos, Arlo Guthrie, and many others.
Arcata is home to Humboldt State
University , and in South Eureka you find College of the
Redwoods.
Eureka even has a
little Zoo. To the delight of the little ones, goats and
sheep can be groomed in the petting zoo. Bill
, the then oldest living chimpanzee in captivity, passed away
in 2007. Jane Goodall came to visit him in 2007.
If you are looking for the great outdoors, you have come to the right place: fishing , surfing, kayaking , hiking, and bicycling are for the outdoor enthusiast. Want skiing too? Mount Shasta is 200 miles inland. River rafting? Try the Trinity River. Swim holes ? Try the Smith River, Mad River, Eel River, or the Van Duzen River for spots you have only seen on calendars or TV!
Do you like ATV riding? The Samoa Dunes host a vast riding area for quads.
