PACIFIC SEAFARER'S NET
EUREKA TIMES-STANDARD NEWSPAPER ARTICLE
MONDAY 08 APRIL, 2002

The following article appeared in the Monday 08 April, 2002 edition of the Times-Standard of Eureka, California.  The Times-Standard is the North Coast's No. 1 daily newspaper covering Santa Rosa to Redding to North Bend, Oregon.  It was a fun interview and the author, John Driscoll, is the environmental writer for the Times-Standard. John has an elevated interest in the cruising lifestyle and at one time was preparing to pursue the lifestyle.  He has since detoured slightly taking up residence in Humboldt County with his wife and children.  John came to Humboldt County from Springfield, Massachusettes and has no plans to leave the area anytime soon.

Judging from the accuracy in detail John put into the article, it appears to me that he has a bright future in journalism.  It was a pleasure to do the interview with him and it was even more enjoyable to read the article and it's portrayal of ham radio and the Pacific Seafarer's Net's services to the public and the seafaring community on the high seas.
