Pharmacy Burglary

Ruston police are investigating the burglary of the Clinic Pharmacy on South Farmerville Street. At approximately 4:00 AM Friday, May 21, 2010, five unknown black males broke into the pharmacy and left with a small amount of cash and a large amount of prescription drugs with an estimated value of approximately $800,000.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any suspect(s). The Clinic Pharmacy is offering an additional reward of up to $2,000.00 for each suspect who is arrested and convicted. Murder

The Ruston Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the murder of a local resident on December 11, 2008. Police responded to the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Dunn Street around 3:00 PM after receiving a report of a body being found near that location. The victim was identified as Christopher Tillman, 36, of Ruston. Evidence at the scene indicated that the cause of death was intentional and the case is being handled as a homicide.

Armed Robbery

Ruston police are looking for suspects in an armed robbery at O'Reilly Auto Parts on December 11th. Employees of the store called in the robbery at the store shortly after 9:00 PM. O'Reilly Auto Parts is located at 200 E. Georgia Ave., Ruston.

Theft

The Ruston Police Department is currently investigating a theft of several computers from Ruston High School. The computer equipment has an estimated value of between $7,500 and $8,000 was discovered on Thursday, August 14, 2008, the day before school opened. In addition to the computers, a flatscreen high-definition television was also taken from the distance learning classroom.

Theft

The Ruston Police Department is currently investigating a theft from a Pafford Ambulance Service helicopter which was located at the Ruston Municipal Airport. Pafford Ambulance Service advised that sometime during the nighttime or early morning hours of April 17, 2008, someone entered their helicopter and stole four (4) flight helmets.

The flight helmets were valued at approximately $1,200.00 each.
