K-9 Units

Conner, a 3-year-old German Shepherd, and Baehr, a 3-year-old German Malinois, are the department's two K-9s. Conner has been a member of the Ruston Police Department for approximately one year. Baehr started this past Christmas. Both K-9s are part of the department's Patrol Division and are certified in narcotics detection, apprehension and in tracking.

Our past and present K-9s have proven themselves to be tremendous assets to our department and to our other local law enforcement agencies time and time again.
